Establishes the Social Security account number as the exclusive numerical identifier for individual accounts used by federal agencies. Directs federal departments to adopt existing Social Security numbers rather than creating separate numbering systems. Tasks the Social Security Board with assigning and managing these numbers, providing related data to agencies upon request, maintaining confidentiality, and receiving reimbursement for associated administrative costs.
Users with accounts see get different text depending on what type of user they are. General interest, journalist, policymaker, agency staff, interest groups, litigators, researches.
