Summary

Permits U.S. citizens who are family members of federal civilian employees, and who leave federal service to work for the American Institute in Taiwan (AIT), to receive noncompetitive appointments to competitive service positions within the executive branch upon return. Requires appointees to meet Office of Personnel Management (OPM) criteria and complete satisfactory employment at AIT. Directs OPM to issue necessary regulations.
